RIB Unlimited is all about energy efficient high-speed rigid inflatable boats (RIBs). We design and build all our models to be compatible with both electric and conventional drivetrains. Thanks to our unique designs and lightweight constructions we are able offer our customers a range of boats with unparalleled energy efficiency combined with top level handling and sea worthiness. From having established the market segment of energy efficient RIBs in the 1990’s, RIB Unlimited remains determined to drive the transition to sustainable speedboat transportation in sheltered waters.

In order to maximise the energy efficiency in our boats, we always go the extra mile in terms of design, construction and set up. We rely on 30 years of unique experience and expertise from producing market leading RIBs combined with numerous racing initiatives that have awarded us with multiple world speed records as well as a Guiness World Record – a heritage that we today proudly build upon in our strive to create the world’s most energy efficient RIBs. 

RIB Unlimited has its roots amongst a bunch of adrenalin junkies in the Gothenburg area on the Swedish Westcoast who, in the mid-1990s, decided to mount an inflatable tube around a Hydrolift T17 racing hull. The initiative led to a Guinness world speed record for RIBs and was undertaken in conjunction with the launch of the RIB Unlimited brand. Further world speeds and distance records for RIBs were achieved thereafter, including the “Ribcat” reaching 101,8 knots in 1999. The company's focus has, however, always been on energy efficiency. In the last decade, this focus has been strengthened even further on maximizing the energy efficiency in pre-defined cruising ranges depending on the model, rather than maximizing the boats’ top speeds.

The model range has included sizes of 6m, 7m, 8m, 9m, 32 foot and 36 foot over the years. The design and construction of RIB Unlimited’s boats have always pioneered the market in terms of energy efficiency which has strongly contributed to the multiple prestigious racing titles and world speed records that have been achieved. Over six hundred boats have been produced to date with a vast majority still being used across mainly Europe and Asia Pacific.
